Arsenal vs Liverpool Betting Tips

Here are our best tips for Saturday's match for which we have a range of other markets available:

The lowdown

If ever a match had goals written in the stars it's Arsenal vs Liverpool, which has produced 27 of them in the last five meetings which equates to a stunning 5.4 per game.

Understandably, both teams to score is priced at 40/85 even though Liverpool won 4-0 at Anfield last season and they top the table for clean sheets with six.

Despite Arsenal's breathless start to the campaign the feeling remains they have been getting away with it and prior to the draw with Palace their attack ranked ninth and 14th for chances allowed in expected goals terms.

A dodgy defence, now without the injured Hector Bellerin, against the third best attack for creating chances is a recipe for goals and we like the look of over 3.5 at 13/10.

Although none of the Reds' away fixtures have produced four goals or more, six of Arsenal's 10 matches would have paid out in that market this season.

The last five clashes have done the business and going back even further it's been seven from eight producing a total of four goals or more.

Feature previews for this weekend

If you're interested in tips on our feature matches for the weekend, check out our in-depth previews below:

First goalscorer tips

Finding a first goalscorer from two teams packed with attacking talent is no easy feat but we picked out Philippe Coutinho to be first and anytime goalscorer for Barcelona at the weekend at 6/1 and 7/4, but Marcelo added the icing on the cake by scoring for Real Madrid at 11/1 so we're hopeful for Saturday.

The man that stands out for us is Roberto Firmino at 6/1. The Brazilian opened the scoring in the 4-0 win against Red Star Belgrade and has scored in each of the last three games against Arsenal - twice breaking the deadlock.

Anytime goalscorer tips

Another player who enjoys playing against Arsenal is Sadio Mane who is our tip in the anytime scorer market at 15/8.

The Senegal attacker scored a brilliant double in the win against Cardiff to add to his goal against Red Star Belgrade, plus he has struck in three of his last four matches against Arsenal.

Where the game will be won or lost

As successful as the season has been for Arsenal they are undoubtedly a team that gets going after the break.

Remarkably, the Gunners have yet to be leading at the break and are fourth from bottom in the half-time table with eight draws and two losses.

They have now won the second half in their last eight Premier League matches but worryingly failed in this market against top-six sides Chelsea and Manchester City.

It's tempting to take the 9/4 on Arsenal winning the second 45 minutes but instead we're going for both teams to score in the second half at 7/5 as the second of our Premier League predictions.

Unai Emery's side have scored after the break in nine of their 10 matches and while Liverpool's record is surprisingly 50%, they have done so in their last five clashes with Arsenal, four of which have seen goals at both ends.

The last of our Arsenal vs Liverpool betting tips is for the game to be level at the break at 13/10 for reasons be have already mentioned above.

Team news

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin (thigh) is being assessed alongside fellow full-backs Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac - who are both recovering from hamstring issues - and Sokratis Papastathopoulos (ankle).

Laurent Koscielny is still not up to speed following an Achilles injury, while midfielder Matteo Guendouzi is suspended and Mohamed Elneny (thigh) is also missing.

Liverpool midfielders Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson will not be available after hamstring injuries. Andrew Robertson is set to return at left-back after being rested last weekend.

Traders' Tips - View from the trading floor

Liverpool's three-pronged attack can get at an Arsenal defence that has kept just two clean sheets this season and gave away two penalties at Crystal Palace. The Reds have scored 17 goals in their last five clashes with Arsenal and with Mo Salah starting to click we're expecting a win and goals at both ends.
