These two sides shared 2-2 draws in both meetings last season, with Josh King netting an 89th-minute equaliser in the corresponding fixture in April.

The Eagles have won only one of their previous four visits to this stadium although they have scored exactly two goals on both their last two trips to the south coast.

Bournemouth bounced back from their heavy loss at Burnley by beating Blackburn at home in the EFL Cup, Callum Wilson pouncing for a last-gasp winner moments after Rovers were reduced to 10 men.

Eddie Howe's side are unbeaten in five home games in all competitions this season, scoring at least twice on each occasion and 14 in total.

Palace are now unbeaten in three games - all without conceding a goal - with Andros Townsend scoring twice in a 3-0 win at West Brom in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

There have been at least three goals scored in three of the last five meetings so 3/4 for over 2.5 goals gets the vote in the first of our Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace predictions.

First goalscorer tips

Callum Wilson notched his third goal of the season - and first in five games - to help Bournemouth beat Blackburn in the cup in midweek.

The 26-year-old striker, who netted nine times in all competitions last term - is his club's biggest goal threat over the last 10 league games with an expected goals score of 5.9 and can get the Cherries back to winning ways in the league. He is 5/1 in our first goalscorer odds.

Anytime goalscorer tips

Palace defender Patrick van Aanholt was on target for the first time this season in the 3-0 cup win at West Brom.

The former Chelsea player finished last term in fine scoring form, netting in the last three games - all the goals coming in the final 15 minutes, which was again the case in midweek. This game could be quite open and that may suit the attack-minded 28-year-old, who is 13/2 in the anytime goalscorer odds.

Where the game will be won or lost

Despite their battering by Burnley, Bournemouth will count themselves unfortunate not to have got on the scoresheet as they posted an xG of 1.9.

Indeed, Howe's side are ranked third overall for chances created with 2.12 average xG, only Manchester City and Liverpool having a better score.

Wilson, Josh King and Ryan Fraser have nine goals between them this season and this is a fixture which has been both teams scoring in four of the last five encounters.

Palace, meanwhile, have surprisingly performed better on their travels this term, going unbeaten and where all four of their wins have been.

Roy Hodgson's men have only scored once in three league games, though, and that came courtesty of Wilfried Zaha's superb solo effort in the win at Huddersfield.

The Eagles are ranked 14th overall for chances created and sit just above Bournemouth in ninth for chances allowed so we expect a tight contest here.

We are going for a home win and both teams to score at 3/1, with evens Bournemouth score at least two goals rounding off our free football tips.
