Champions League betting tips: Lyon to test Barca in 65/1 acca

We had three wins out of four with our Champions League betting tips last week and are aiming for a clean sweep when the remaining four first legs take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Our Champions League predictions of over 2.5 goals at both Roma and Tottenham were successful, as well as Real Madrid to beat Ajax, but Manchester United let us down with their home defeat by PSG.

We've studied the Champions League odds for this week's games and have four tips which can be combined to make a 65/1 football accumulator and also qualify for a 10% bonus as part of our acca bonus offer.

Champions League Betting Tips

Here are our predictions for this week's first legs:

And if you're feeling lucky, combining all our Champions League predictions into a 4 fold will pay out around 65/1.

Liverpool vs Bayern Munich

Jurgen Klopp may not have a great record against Bayern Munich but Liverpool are the favourites to get the better of the German champions at Anfield and are 17/2 in the Champions League winner odds to go one step further than last year, when they were beaten by Real Madrid in the final.

Bayern have an ageing squad and Liverpool's high-tempo game should suit them well, while the Reds' preparations have also been helped by their early FA Cup exit. That meant they were able to enjoy a warm-weather training camp in Marbella last week, and a home win kicks off our Champions League tips.

Lyon vs Barcelona

Lyon proved they are capable of causing an upset when they beat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in their opening group match but that was to be their only win as they qualified as runners-up with five score draws, including a 2-2 draw in all three home games.

They also beat Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month and we think Barcelona may be happy with a draw and an away goal or two to take back to the Nou Camp.

Atletico Madrid vs Juventus

Once again Atletico are relying on their defence and have conceded the fewest goals in La Liga this season but they have also scored the lowest number of goals of the top-four teams and almost half as many as leaders Barcelona.

Diego Simeone's men only conceded one goal at home during the group stage but a goalless draw at Club Brugge in their final game cost them top spot in Group A.

Juventus kept four clean sheets during the group stage and we expect a cagey contest in the Spanish capital so under 1.5 goals is the next of our Champions League bet predictions.

Schalke vs Manchester City

City are the clear Champions League favourites at 10/3 after being handed a favourable draw against Schalke, who are battling relegation in the Bundesliga following a dismal start to the season which saw them lose their opening five matches.

They came through a weak Champions League group with only six goals and have one of the worst first-half records in the Bundesliga so we expect City to take control quickly here and like Champions League odds of 17/10 for City to win both halves as they have done in seven of their 10 matches against teams currently in the bottom seven of the Premier League.
