Chelsea vs Vidi Betting Tips

Here are our best tips for the match and we also have a range of other markets available:

The Lowdown

This is first time these two sides have met although the Hungarian side have fond memories of their last trip to England.

Then known as Videoton, they beat Manchester United on penalties in the UEFA Cup quarter-finals in 1985 after the tie finished 1-1 on aggregate.

But it will be a major surprise if they were to get anywhere near a repeat with Chelsea, still unbeaten this season, expected to record a routine victory at Stamford Bridge.

Willian's seventh-minute strike was the difference against PAOK with Pedro and Alvaro Morata squandering numerous chances to extend their lead.

Boss Maurizio Sarri said: "We were in control of the match for 90 minutes. We have had a lot of opportunities. We missed several. When it is time to kill the match we have to kill the match.''

Vidi overcame Ludogorets and Malmo in the Champions League qualifiers before losing to AEK Athens in the play-offs.

We think the Premier League side will find their scoring touch here so 4/5 for there to be over 3.5 goals in this match kicks off our Chelsea vs Vidi betting predictions.

First goalscorer tips

Alvaro Morata is enduring more frustration this season, scoring just once in nine appearances. The Spain international, who missed out on the squad for this summer's World Cup, began his Chelsea career with seven goals in eight games last term but scored just three times after the turn of the year.

Morata appears shorn of confidence of late but may find Vidi conducive opposition to get back on the goal trails and he is 14/5 in our first goalscorer odds.

Anytime goalscorer tips

Having been made captain for the night and scoring the only goal against PAOK Salonika, we fancy Willian to get on the scoresheet once more against the Hungarians. The Brazilian recently insisted he always wants to stay at the club after speculation during the summer over a move to Manchester United or Barcelona.

Willian was also on target in the 4-1 home win over Cardiff in the Premier League and his pace and trickery can cause any defence problems. He is priced at evens in our anytime goalscorer odds.

Where the game will be won or lost

Chelsea should simply have too much quality for Vidi.

The Blues won this competition in 2013 having been eliminated from the Champions League group stages in their defence of the trophy.

They have drawn their last three home matches in Europe, albeit against Roma, Athletic Madrid and Barcelona, since thrashing Qarabag 6-0 on Matchday 1 in last season's Champions League.

Europa League previews

Basel, in 2013, were also the last team to beat Chelsea at this venue in Europe, with the Blues winning eight and drawing three of the subsequent 11 matches.

Vidi, Hungarian champions for a third time, have only reached the Europa League group stage once before and should prove out of their depth.

They have drawn all four away games in Europe this season but just three wins from 23 trips across eight campaigns (10 draws and 10 losses) tells its own story.

We are going for Chelsea to win 4-0 at 7/1 as the second of our free football tips and also believe their pace and power in attack will prove too much so are adding 9/4 the Blues are awarded a penalty as our final Chelsea vs Vidi betting prediction.

Traders' Tips - View from the trading floor

Alvaro Morata has found goals hard to come by this year, scoring only four times for Chelsea. But against the Hungarian minnows, the Spanish striker can restore some confidence by opening the scoring at Stamford Bridge.
