This week's selections
Celtic recovered from going a goal down at Parkhead to build a 3-1 lead heading into the return leg in Norway. Boss Brendan Rodgers described French forward Odsonne Edouard as "a class player" after his brace put them in command of the tie as the Bhoys seek to knock Rosenborg out of the qualifying rounds for the second successive year.
Ajax are also strongly placed to progress after winning the first leg 2-0 in Austria with goals from Hakim Ziyech and Lasse Schone, who converted the rebound after seeing his penalty saved by goalkeeper Jorg Siebenhandl. The Dutch side were beaten by Nice on away goals in the third qualifying round last season but should have no concerns this time.
Swiss side Basel advanced to the round of 16 in the Champions League last season before bowing out 5-2 on aggregate to Manchester City. They finished runners-up behind Manchester United in Group A having beaten Jose Mourinho's men 1-0 at home. They trail the Greeks 2-1 with Albian Ajeti's reply crucial to their hopes of staying in the competition.
Laszlo Kleinheisler netted a stoppage-time winner for the Kazakhstan champions in the first leg after his opener was cancelled out by Gustav Wikheim. Astana made it through to the group stages in 2015/16, failing to win a game, while the Danes reached the last 32 of the Europa League that season having lost in the third qualifying round of this competition.
Malmo have a one-goal lead courtesy of Carlos Strandberg's solo strike in Romania. The Allsvenskan champions suffered defeat to Vardar of Macedonia at this stage last season so will be keen to avoid more disappointment in their bid to reach the group stage, which they did in 2014/15 and 2015/16. Cluj have advanced to the group stage three times but will come up short as we complete our accumulator tips.
