These two teams will both hope to be in contention for glory at the end of the season but have question marks surrounding their promotion credentials for different reasons.
Derby's failure to get the job done at Wembley was not enough to put Chelsea off bringing manager Frank Lampard to Stamford Bridge once the departure of Maurizio Sarri was finally confirmed.
Phillip Cocu was named as his successor having won three league championships and a Dutch Cup during his time in charge of Eindhoven, although his latest managerial role at Fenerbahce lasted only 15 matches after he was sacked in October 2018 having won just three games.
He must quickly get used to English football and faces a tricky task rebuilding a team in which loanees Harry Wilson, Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori played a pivotal role last season.

They have not returned, with Lampard's presence being a major reason for their time at Derby, so the Rams could be forgiven for a relatively slow start to the season.
Huddersfield's squad looks more settled and although there have been several summer departures such as Philip Billing to Bournemouth, the likes of Aaron Mooy, Christopher Schindler and Jonathan Hogg remain.
They were pivotal to Huddersfield's promotion and know what is needed to get out of this division, while the additions of Karlan Grant, Alex Pritchard, Adama Diakhaby and Isaac Mbenza during their time in the top flight means they now look to have more of an attacking threat than when they were last in this division.
With that in mind, the first of our Huddersfield vs Derby predictions is a home win at odds of 13/10.

First goalscorer tips
Last season could not end soon enough for most people connected with Huddersfield but the same could not be said of Grant, who arrived from Charlton in January.
Fellow frontman Steve Mounie has been on African Cup of Nations duty with Benin this summer so Grant looks certain to lead Huddersfield's attack and appeals at 7/2 in the first goalscorer odds.
Anytime goalscorer tips
Aaron Mooy scored seven goals in Huddersfield's two seasons in the Premier League but in an inferior league appeals at 9/4 in the anytime goalscorer odds.
The Australia midfielder scored a penalty in a 4-1 home defeat by Leicester in April and should be the man Town turn to if they are awared a spot-kick.

Where the game will be won or lost
Huddersfield's previous promotion came despite them having a negative goal difference and their struggle to find the net in the Premier League was well documented, especially last season when they managed just 22 goals.
Jan Siewert was given the almost impossible task of replacing Wagner when the writing was already on the wall and morale was at rock bottom.
The key for the Terriers is to stop the rot and get back to winning ways and they at least went into the summer with some optimism after draws at home to Manchester United and at Southampton.
Siewert looks set to play a 4-3-3 formation which should ensure more service for Grant and Steve Mounie up front, while speedy youngsters Isaac Mbenza and Adama Diakhaby should benefit from the drop down in divisions.
Their pace proved a handful for Premier League defences at times, with Mbenza racing through to net their equaliser against Manchester United, and Siewert has spoken of his intent to play a more attacking brand of football than Wagner.
Giving the fans something to cheer will be important after last season's struggles so we're adding over 2.5 goals at evens to our Huddersfield vs Derby betting tips.
With just three wins to their name last season, any sort of victory would be a huge relief for the Yorkshire club, especially against a potential promotion rival.
A big win seems unlikely therefore so we'll wrap up our Huddersfield vs Derby predictions by tipping Town to win 2-1 at 9/1.
