Huddersfield vs Liverpool: Ruthless Reds to go to Town
Huddersfield vs Liverpool Match Preview and Predictions
Huddersfield took more points off the 'big six' than might have been expected last season but will need to create a huge upset if they are to extend Liverpool's recent winless run.
[All odds correct at time of publication]
A famous win at home to Manchester United plus draws at Manchester City and Chelsea helped secure a second season in the top flight but they remain without a victory in 2018/19 and are 10/1 in the Premier League odds to win on Saturday evening.
Liverpool have gone four matches without a victory in all competitions but the standard of opposition - Chelsea, Napoli, Manchester City - means there is no reason to doubt them yet and this looks the perfect chance to return to the form which saw them win their opening seven matches of the season.

Huddersfield vs Liverpool Betting Tips
Here are our best tips for Saturday's match for which we also have a range of other markets available:
A shortage of goals has been Huddersfield's problem this season, especially at the John Smith's Stadium where they have failed to find the net in four outings.
It is not a new problem either, with the Terriers scoring just one goal in front of their own fans since a 4-1 win at home to Bournemouth in February.
They have created the fewest amount of chances in the Premier League too, with an average xG of 0.73 per 90 minutes, so it would be a major surprise if they ended their home drought against a defence ranked third for chances allowed.
Liverpool have faced four teams in the bottom half of the Premier League this season and won them all without conceding so an away win to nil at 9/10 is an obvious first pick for our Huddersfield vs Liverpool predictions.
Jurgen Klopp enjoyed a 3-0 win in both fixtures against his close friend David Wagner last season and Huddersfield were also beaten by the same scoreline at home to Chelsea in August. With that in mind, Liverpool to win 3-0 is one of our Premier League predictions this weekend at odds of 15/2.

First goalscorer tips
The absence of centre-back Terence Kongolo is a blow for Huddersfield and leaves them short of pace in the centre of defence, regardless of whether Wagner reverts to a back five or sticks with the four-man defence that drew at Burnley.
Liverpool will look to counter-attack at speed if the Terriers show any ambition going forward and Sadio Mane has the speed to exploit any gaps so stands out at 4/1 in the first goalscorer odds.
Anytime goalscorer tips
Huddersfield conceded a penalty in both matches against Liverpool last season and both Chelsea and Tottenham have been awarded spot-kicks at this venue this season.
The visitors are 15/4 to be given another penalty on Saturday and that looks a value bet but in terms of the anytime goalscorer odds, take 7/2 for regular penalty-taker James Milner to be on target.

Where the game will be won or lost
This match should be over by half-time based on the scoring trends of these two teams this season.
Both teams like to play at a high tempo in the first half but Huddersfield have been behind at the break in each of their three home defeats this season.
They were also losing by more than one goal at half-time in their three matches against top-six opposition - Chelsea (2-0), Manchester City (3-1) and Tottenham (2-0) - and 11 of the 17 goals they have conceded have been in the first half.
Liverpool have the best first-half record in the Premier League, scoring10 goals and conceding just once in the first 45 minutes so should take control early on.
The Reds could be forgiven for easing off in the second half, especially with the next round of Champions League matches coming up in midweek, so backing the most goals to come in the first half has plenty of appeal at 43/20.
For even bigger Premier League odds, though, the last of our Huddersfield vs Liverpool betting tips is Liverpool to win the first half by more than one goal at 16/5.
Huddersfield midfielder Philip Billing hopes to prove his fitness in time after sustaining an ankle injury while on international duty with Denmark Under-21s. Billing has has returned to full training and will be monitored as will winger Isaac Mbenza (knee). Club captain Tommy Smith (groin), fellow defender Terence Kongolo (hamstring) and midfielder Danny Williams (knee) are out.
Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita will miss the game after returning from international duty with a hamstring problem. However, forwards Mohamed Salah (hamstring) and Sadio Mane (broken thumb) are
still in contention despite arriving back at Melwood with fitness issues. Defender Virgil van Dijk will continue to play with a rib problem, James Milner could feature despite a hamstring injury sustained just before the international break while fellow midfielder Adam Lallana is set to feature in the squad for the first time since September 1.
Traders' Tips - View from the trading floor
Liverpool have had a dip in results but that is understandable after a tough run of fixtures. They have been ruthless against teams in the bottom half of the Premier League though and should be comfortable winners at goal-shy Huddersfield.
