Leicester vs Tottenham Betting Tips

Here are our predictions for Saturday's match between Leicester and Tottenham for which we also have a range of other markets available:

The lowdown

Mauricio Pochettino had mixed feelings about his side's midweek win against Saints, happy to win a match after a difficult run of games against Chelsea, Inter Milan and Arsenal, but disappointed to concede more chances than they did against the Gunners.

However, Spurs have been very strong away from home this season although their 4-2 defeat at the Emirates last weekend means they no longer hold the best points percentage on the road. They still have the most wins, helped by delays in the construction of their new stadium.

Seven wins and two defeats is still a decent return and we fancy Spurs to win and both teams to score at 11/4 in the first of our Leicester vs Tottenham predictions.

Leicester have lost all three of their matches against top-six sides, each of which saw goals at both ends, and Spurs have conceded in three victories from their last five matches.

First goalscorer tips

Harry Kane has a sensational record against Leicester, scoring seven goals in his last three appearances during which he broke the deadlock once in the 6-1 win in the 2016-7 season.

The England striker has seven goals in his last eight games and broke the deadlock against Southampton so he is an obvious pick from the first goalscorer odds at 10/3, boosted from 14/5.

Anytime goalscorer tips

Son Heung-min would have been candidate for man of the match had Hugo Lloris not produced a string of outstanding saves to thwart Southampton on Wednesday and we think he can score in Saturday night's televised game.

The South Korean put the game beyond Saints early in the second half to make it three goals in his last five starts in all competitions and looks a decent option as an anytime goalscorer at 21/10.

Where the game will be won or lost

Tottenham have been getting off to fast starts lately with the first goal being scored between eight and 10 minutes in their last three matches.

Spurs are a team that like to burst out of the blocks and their half-time record of W10 D3 L2 is second only to Manchester City, while away from home they rule the roost (W6 D3 L0).

Pochettino's side have had a tough run of fixtures but we still expect the deadlock to be broken between 11-20 minutes at 4/1.

The first goal has been scored during that period in two of Leicester's last three matches and we're expecting plenty of goals in Saturday's match.

The last of our football tips for the weekend showdown is for Tottenham to triumph 3-1 at 15/1, a winning scoreline from three of their last eight matches in all competitions.

Traders' Tips - View from the trading floor

Leicester have not picked up a point from any of their matches against the big six and Tottenham have been brilliant on the road this season. Spurs got over their defeat in the north London derby with a 3-1 win against Southampton and can strengthen their top-four bid with a win against a team that are unbeaten in six (W2 D4) all of which have been against teams in the bottom half of the table.
