Chelsea have made an impressive start under new boss Maurizio Sarri and are one of six teams to have won their opening two games of the new Premier League season.

They began with a comfortable 3-0 win at Huddersfield before Marcos Alonso netted the winner in a 3-2 victory over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle followed up a 2-1 home defeat by Tottenham on the opening day by claiming a goalless draw at promoted Cardiff, with Kenedy missing a stoppage-time penalty.

Newcastle vs Chelsea Betting Tips

Here are our best tips for the match and we also have a range of other markets available:

The lowdown

Sarri insisted his side "have to improve" after watching them relinquish a two-goal lead before securing victory over Arsenal.

Chelsea led 2-0 after 20 minutes through goals from Pedro and Alvaro Morata before Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Alex Iwobi drew the Gunners level before half-time.

The 59-year-old Italian was grateful for the impact of Eden Hazard as the Belgium playmaker - linked with a summer move to Real Madrid - set up Alonso's winning strike nine minutes from time.

After being unlucky to lose to Tottenham in round one - twice hitting the woodwork - the Magpies squandered a glorious chance to register their first win at Cardiff.

Kenedy, on loan from Chelsea, was a shadow of the player who lit up Tyneside during the second half of last season and capped a poor individual display with a last-gasp penalty miss.

Newcastle have won four and drawn one of their last five home meetings with the Blues but we feel that trend is about to change so Chelsea to win at 7/10 kicks off the first of our free football tips.

First goalscorer tips

After a poor second half to last season, which led to speculation over a summer exit from Stamford Bridge, Alvaro Morata looks like he has turned a corner after an impressive start to the campaign.

The Spaniard has confessed the new 4-3-3 formation under Sarri suits him and he got off the mark against the Gunners. He scored against Newcastle in an FA Cup tie last season and 4/1 he breaks the deadlock gets our vote.

Anytime goalscorer tips

Pedro has followed up his fine pre-season form - scoring against Perth Glory and Inter Milan - by netting in both Premier League wins.

The Spaniard signed a new deal until 2020 before the campaign began and is clearly settled at Stamford Bridge. At odds of 15/8, we are snapping them up that the flying winger scores in three successive league games in England for the first time.

Where the game will be won or lost

It seemed Chelsea were going to cruise to another victory when they led Arsenal 2-0 after 20 minutes.

But it must be remembered that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed a glorious chance to equalise just moments before Morata doubled Chelsea's lead.

Then Arsenal came flying back into the game to level before half-time with Chelsea's defence ripped open at ease, something which will be of concern to Sarri.

The expected goals of 2.9-2.4 tells its own story compared to 1.9-0.5 in Chelsea's win at Huddersfield the week before.

Newcastle are unbeaten in their last five home matches with Chelsea and the fanatical Toon Army will be desperate to lead their team to a first victory of the season.

The graphic above shows how threatening Chelsea can be in the first half of games while also demonstrating Newcastle tend to switch off during the final 15 minutes before half-time.

That leads us to our next football prediction of 13/2 for the first goal to be scored between 31-40 minutes which has obvious appeal.

We will round off our free Newcastle vs Chelsea tips by backing the visitors to be leading at half-time at 5/4.

Team news

Isaac Hayden begins a three-match suspension for Newcastle after he was sent off against Cardiff while Kenedy is ineligible to feature against his parent club. DeAndre Yedlin (knee) is fit.

Hazard will be pushing for a start for Chelsea after coming on as a second-half substitute in both games so far. Cesc Fabregas looks set to miss out again with a knee problem.

Traders' Tips - View from the trading floor

Hazard has been inspirational in both games stepping off the bench and he can play another pivotal part against Newcastle, scoring his first of the season in helping Chelsea win.
