NHL: Knights to edge out Kings

There are some surprising starts in the NHL this season - both good and bad - and Sunday night has thrown up some interesting markets.

We've picked out our best bets from the action with a £10 stake returning just over £145 if all three are successful.

Vegas Golden Knights to win @ 6/4

Something has to give when the Vegas Golden Knights host the Los Angeles Kings in a Pacific Division match-up on Saturday night.

The Knights have won seven of their last eight games on home ice, while the Kings have tasted victory in six of eight on the road.

The expansion Knights have got off to a surprising start and some hot goaltending has allowed them to be in every game, especially on home ice, but the injury to starter Marc-Andre Fluery hurts.

However, Malcolm Subban has taken his chance in the absence of the former number one overall pick and with the Kings on the end of a back-to-back, the Knights should have enough to keep their impressive home record going.

New York Rangers to win @ 23/20

The Rangers will be looking to bring a halt to their two-game losing run that has come on the end of a six-game winning streak.

They need to tighten up in their own end after giving up 85 shots in the defeats to Chicago and Columbus but will be facing a Senators team beaten 3-2 in overtime by the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday night and who will be without defenceman Chris Wideman, who has been sidelined by a torn hamstring.

The return to Madison Square Gardens should be enough to tip things in favour of the Rangers in a battle of two struggling teams.

New York Islanders to win @ 17/10

The Islanders are coming off a win on Saturday against the NHL-leading Tampa Bay Lightning that extended their winning streak to three games and got the better of the Hurricanes at Barclays Center on Thursday night.

Islanders captain John Tavares has 12 goals in his last 12 games and New York should continue the momentum that has seen them score at least five goals in three straight games to record a fourth consecutive win.
